Having been raised on both mixed farming and irrigation properties, in the Merriwa and Tamworth areas, I have had a lifetime of experience with agriculture. I have since had experience in both agronomy and livestock consulting, managing broadacre livestock, cropping and irrigation properties, as well as, the stud cattle sector. I also spent 10 years lecturing Farm Management/ Agriculture and Horse Management for NSW TAFE.
My association with the ASCBA started in 2002 when I joined the association and started breeding Senepols. I was elected to the Management Committee in 2005 and assumed the role of Vice President in 2007, serving as President from 2008 through to 2012. This was the period of peak membership of the association due to the work of all the members of the Management Committee.
My ambition is to promote the use of Senepol genetics for the good of all members and ensure the viability of the Association.

Gary has had lifetime love affair with cattle, growing up with stud Jersey cattle, breeding Murray Greys for a decade before becoming enthused with the possibilities of Senepol in the Queensland environment.
Gary mixes working as general practitioner in Toowoomba with living on the farm just outside Toowoomba and enjoys the practical hands-on aspect of breeding cattle. Gary has served on the committee for numerous years including a stint as President. He would like to encourage all members to become more involved and have a say in the direction of the breed.
